Cromwell Opening

It looks like Caesar’s has announced that May 21st will be the Grand Opening of the highly anticipated Cromwell Las Vegas. The property that once housed Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall and Saloon and the Barbary Coast is being transformed into a $185-million dollar remodel complete in French decor, yet with a contemporary feel. As a 27-year-old native of Las Vegas this writer is happy to see the transformation, finally. What once was a draft and eye-displeasing brown and gold building on the corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo will now be transformed into a beautiful and elegant white masterpiece.

Room keys will be distributed starting on the 21st and a king-size bedroom will start out at $299. Although, the Memorial Day Weekend that shortly follows, the hotel and casino will offer that same room for $399. Club-goers on Memorial Day Weekend will be happy to know that Drai’s nightclub will be up and running and ready to party just before the holiday on May 26th. The Cromwell will also welcome author and famous TV chef Giada De Laurentiis with her first ever Italian (of course) restaurant effort. The Cromwell sits on two of the busiest cross streets on the Las Vegas strip and will be sure to attract much foot traffic, especially with the attractions nearby of the also new and exciting, LINQ. -Kristina Johnson
